Affiliate Membership with NAJAS is a great way to engage  with our communications and conferences and link to the world's largest network of people committed to U.S.-Japan ties.

To qualify, an organization must support NAJAS’ mission of promoting cooperation and understanding between the people of Japan and the United States in an inclusive, non-partisan way. NAJAS was founded in 1979 as an association for Japan and Japan-America Societies.

Affiliate status conveys a useful subset of full membership benefits -- receipt of our biweekly, English-language newsletter, a profile listing of your organization on our website, and invitations to selected NAJAS events, including the open day of our flagship Annual Conference. Affiliate membership must be approved by a majority of NAJAS’s 40 regular member societies. We strive to respond on approval, together with an invoice, within five weeks of submission of this Application.

The fee for a 12-month term is $199. For individuals who are current dues-paying individual members of a NAJAS-affiliated Japan-America Society/Japan Society, we are pleased to provide a discounted rate of $99 to reduce your Affiliate Membership fee.
